BUSINESS ASSOCIATION - Petrich is a regional body of the Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of Bulgarian business.

The main purposes are:

•   representation and protection of members' interests before state, local government, public national and international bodies and organizations;
•   development and establishment of modern industrial relations and development activities of a functioning market economy, including activities to protect the interests of employers at local, municipal, regional, district, branch, branch national and international level and regional level;
•   assisting members in the activities of adaptation of production and technological cycles under the new conditions of global competition;
•   promote and protect the interests of members in the process of imposing new patterns of business behavior and business relations in the context of the concept of corporate social responsibility and related self-regulation in this and other areas of benefits;
•   assisting members directly and through regional structures brought up innovation in all sectors of Bulgarian economy, leading to full use of its reserves, technological innovation, etc.., to the dynamic development of various regional areas;
•   creating conditions for increasing economic activity and entrepreneurship (business initiatives, business contacts etc..)
•   imposing a new type of corporate ethics, ways of fair competition, economic and social dialogue at the level of social partners, legislative and executive powers to the regional national and international level;
•   building and strengthening the administrative capacity of regional and local authorities through their membership in the context of "Lisbon Strategy" of building a competitive and knowledge based economy;
•   providing the full range of services offered by their regional BIA offices.
